SHIBULERU designed this cutlery set with FluidSolids Biocomposites to combine high quality design with a true circular business case. Driven by an LCA study, thinking of the raw, waste-material origins, not competing with agriculture or food production, all the way to how and where the products are made and used. There is a long, hard development journey with a refreshing honesty behind this product and material.

This cutlery set is made from organic waste.
It composts into soil at room temperature in less than 30 days.

In an ideal world, this product wouldn’t exist. But our hunger for quick and easy, home delivered meals prove the opposite. Billions of meals are delivered with plastic spoons, forks and knifes in the name of a good consumer experience.

The Wellcompost cutlery set we designed counter the use of virgin materials that promise to be green (-washed), with a true bio-based, biodegradable, home compostable material that is not competing with food production.
