BUILDING A COMPANY’S DESIGN CAPABILITY

Recognizing that good design is good business, SHIBULERU helped Fotokite to build the internal design capabilities. We established the User Experience-, Industrial- and Graphic Design practice at the company.

The SHIBULERU engagement ranged from creating the company strategy to designing the ground breaking Sigma System roof top enclosure to caring about the parts fit and finish, brand building and visual communication.

In 2021, Fotokite Sigma won the prestigious iF Gold Award as well as the Design Preis Schweiz.

FOTOKITE SIGMA

Fotokite Sigma is an actively tethered unmanned aerial system providing Public Safety teams with mission-critical situational intelligence from previously not available elevated perspectives. Unlimited continuous flight time, and launching, flying, and landing with the single push of a button drastically save team resources. The Fotokite Live App provides real-time thermal and high definition video streams, giving First Responders immediate actionable information, on- and offsite, throughout their mission without the need of a drone pilot license. Fotokite Systems have saved human lives multiple times throughout search and rescue and live fire missions.

No such system existed in the world. Since its deployment in European and U.S.. markets in 2020, the system has saved human life, increased response times and supported incident command decisions.

Interactions are reduced to setting flight height and camera position. Users switch between thermal and high definition cameras. Real-time camera streams can be shared with command centers or experts anywhere in the world. Recording of the development on scene and backtracking allows the users to review any moment in the past. In the end, an incident report is automatically available reducing post incident protocoling time drastically. System provides immediate, full overview of scene incl. heat signatures.
