THE EVOLUTION OF THE
SILICON VALLEY TECH OFFICE
For the Vitra showroom in Chicago we explored the evolution of tech office design – an aesthetic we call Silicon Valley Modern. Moving beyond well-trodden tech office clichés, we crafted a Vitra work environment utilizing an authentic palette of naturally derived materials, plywood of different species, oriented strand board, greenery and sisal.
DENSE LAYERING INTO A CURATED COLLAGE
We applied Vitra’s Collage Concept to the NeoCon showroom. Vitra maintains that vibrant environments gain character through a mix of old and new, high and low, classic and contemporary. By steering away from an exhibition type installation with performance attributes and brand messages seeping from the walls, we brought objects stories,rich materials, deep textures and real coffee to the place.
HYBRID WORKSPACES
Mirroring the trend of increasingly relaxed dress codes in the workplace, these transversal products provide the office with a casual sense of domesticity.
THE VITRA PHONE BOOTH
We designed a new phone booth prototype. The Vitra phone booth is a high-performance, semi-private space with robust sound attenuation. It provides an aesthetically designed visual backdrop for individual video conferences.
